Optic White - Long Sleeve

After James Deans passing young kids across America started to learn about the young actor through his films. Through his love of speed and his dysfunctional  behavior. He became a magnet for misfits as they would be termed. This graphic started to appear on the jackets of those delinquents, bikers, and misfits. In the mid 1970s British designer Viviennne Westwood would discover it. And attached it to her punk collection. As worn by the Sex Pistols. A fitting tribute to dean. Who would surely have been a punk! 

Often copied, but never surpassed- the original vintage style slub yarn Johnson Motors t-shirt. 100% ringspun slub cotton, in our traditional slim fit with the Johnson Motors signature self rib and suture stitch.

We knit our own yarn that we cut, sew, dye, print and hand finish in the city of Los Angeles. All graphic art is hand drawn. T-shirts are garment dyed and pre-shrunk.
